Meet Your Doula

Care rooted in love, education, and respect.

Welcome to With Love Midwifery. I am a doula and student midwife serving families throughout the Chicagoland area.

My midwifery education continues to deepen my understanding of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum care while my doula services remain centered on non-clinical emotional, physical, educational, and advocacy support.

I believe you deserve someone who listens to you, respects your choices, helps you understand your options, supports your partner, and brings a steady presence into your birth space.

Frequently Asked Questions

A few things you may be wondering.

How much is birth doula support?

The Birth Doula Experience is $1,800. I believe in transparent pricing so you can determine whether my services are a good fit before reaching out.

How much is postpartum doula care?

Postpartum doula support is $40 per hour and is personalized around your recovery, newborn care, feeding support, education, and transition into life with your baby.

How much is placenta encapsulation?

Placenta encapsulation is $400. The service is available to qualifying clients who choose placenta encapsulation as part of their postpartum experience.

What is placenta encapsulation?

Placenta encapsulation involves preparing the placenta and placing the prepared material into capsules. I do not present placenta encapsulation as medical treatment or guarantee specific health outcomes.

Can I have a doula if I plan to get an epidural?

Absolutely. Doula support is not limited to unmedicated birth. Support can be valuable during an epidural, induction, planned interventions, changes to your original birth preferences, and many other birth experiences.

Does a doula replace my partner?

No. My goal is to support both you and your partner. I can offer reassurance, suggestions, comfort techniques, information, and guidance so your partner can remain connected and involved without feeling responsible for knowing everything.

Do you make medical decisions for me?

No. Doula care is non-clinical. I provide emotional, physical, educational, and advocacy support, while medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and clinical decision-making remain with you and your licensed healthcare providers.

Are you a midwife?

I am currently a student midwife. The doula services advertised on this website are non-clinical. My midwifery education informs my growing knowledge of pregnancy and birth but does not change the scope of my role when serving you as your doula.

Do you work with Medicaid clients?

Medicaid clients are welcome to inquire about birth doula services. Coverage and eligibility may depend on your individual plan, applicable program requirements, and availability.

What area do you serve?

With Love Midwifery provides birth and postpartum doula support throughout the Chicago metropolitan area and surrounding Chicagoland communities. Include your location with your inquiry so I can confirm availability.
